The Forge Island development occupies a prime waterside location in the heart of Rotherham. Phase 1 of the development will provide a new 8-screen cinema, 69-bed hotel, 25,000sq.ft of Class E food and beverage amenity, a new pedestrian link bridge and attractive public realm connecting to the wider town centre.

Appointed as Project Manager by urban regeneration specialist Muse Developments who is working in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver this exciting scheme.  

The site, which is flanked by the Rotherham Cut canal to the east and the River Don to the west, presents many logistical and buildability challenges. Construction is expected to commence in 2022. The project will require a collaborative approach to problem solving and risk management working with the major stakeholders.
